YOUTH LEADER OPPORTUNITIES

MONTHLY MEETINGS

Youth Leaders

Each month (except in summer) there is a meeting where youth workers can connect, network, pray, talk about upcoming events, discuss topics and share ideas.  It's the 3rd Thursday of each month at the Cathedral of St. Philip in room 380 from 10:30am - 12:00pm.

MINISTRY FAIR

Each March the Diocese sponsors a Diocesan-wide Ministry Fair.  The day consists of a morning gathering, three workshop sessions with lunch and concludes with a closing worship service.

YOUTH LEADERS CONFERENCE

This yearly training conference is provided to support youth leaders/volunteers and their ministry.  It's a time for learning, community building, networking and spiritual reflection.

NEW BEGINNINGS SPONSOR

A Sponsor is responsible for contacting participants from their Parish, making sure the participant knows what to bring to the weekend, arranging a prayer partner, attending the weekend as a participant and chaperone.  Note: Each Parish sending youth to the weekend must send Sponsors. Visit the New Beginnings Site.

HAPPENING TEAM

Moms and Dads are needed to attend a Happening weekend to be chaperones in the cabins and do some behind the scenes work.  Moms and Dads must have attended a Happening weekend as a Geritol. Visit the Happening Site.
